Ingram Micro Readies New Buffalo Office

New real-estate investment underscores Ingram Micro’s commitment to Buffalo’s downtown revitalization and role as a long-term community partner

Buffalo, New York – October 3, 2025 – Ingram Micro, one of Western New York’s largest employers, is moving its operations to downtown Buffalo with the build-out of its new office at 257 West Genesee Street. Bill Brandel, Ingram Micro’s EVP and President, North America, received the keys on September 25 from Steven Palmesi of Orion Properties for the tri-level building that will become the new grounds for Ingram Micro’s Buffalo-based team. Construction is set to begin immediately with a move in date announced in the first half of 2026.

“Orion is thrilled to welcome Ingram Micro to Genesee Towers in continuation of the parties’ longstanding relationship,” said Steven Palmesi, Manager of Investments for Orion Properties Inc. “With Ingram Micro anchoring the project, we envision Genesee Towers as the next premier downtown destination for industry-leading corporate occupants to grow and flourish.”

Palmesi noted Orion is currently executing a comprehensive multi-million-dollar property repositioning plan, with significant renovations underway to the building’s lobby, conference rooms, full-service cafeteria, and fitness center. Amenity area improvements are scheduled for year-end completion, and more exciting announcements are expected soon.

The new facility, which is in the heart of downtown, will span approximately 160,000 square feet and demonstrates Ingram Micro’s commitment to the city’s ongoing downtown revitalization. The office was built to LEED Silver standards, reflecting modern, sustainable design, while featuring a private gym, covered parking, and easy access to nearby restaurants and shops.

“This move represents our continued long-term investment in Buffalo and focus on the communities in which we work, play and live,” said Brandel. “We’re excited to be part of downtown’s continued growth, and proud to bring our team and our business partners to downtown Buffalo.”

Celebrating its forty-sixth year in business, Ingram Micro has grown into a global B2B technology platform company with more than 23,000 associates worldwide. The company continues to employ thousands in Western New York, making it one of the region’s largest private-sector employers.
