Ingram Micro Continues Tradition of Buffalo Philanthropic Efforts
21st Annual Golf Tournament Will Raise More Than $300,000 From Associates and Partners for Local Organizations
BUFFALO, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/27/16 -- On Saturday, July 30, the Buffalo office of Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) will host its 21st Annual East Coast Charity Golf Tournament at The Links at Ivy Ridge in Akron, NY. The annual fundraising event is expected to raise more than $300,000 and will benefit four local charities:

Bornhava is an early intervention and preschool program focused on nurturing and educating children with developmental disabilities.

The Summit Center serves more than 2,300 Western New York children with autism and other developmental disabilities through its education services, behavioral and mental health clinic, family support services and adult programs.

Northtowns Boys and Girls Club provides afterschool programming for more than 3,000 boys and girls in Buffalo and Tonawanda with its six clubs focused on character and leadership development; educational enhancement; career preparation; health and life skills; the arts; and sports, fitness and recreation. The youth are also provided hot meals.

SABAH is dedicated to enriching the quality of life for individuals challenged by physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities through education, therapeutic recreation, fitness and social and communication skill development.

This year's event will include more than 144 golfers and is made possible by a team of more than 50 volunteers, as well as the support of the event's major sponsors including Acronis, Cisco, Lenovo, Microsoft, Santora's Pizza and Pub, and more than 30 others. In conjunction with the golf tournament, and in alliance with ADPRO Sports and Chiavetta's, Ingram Micro will host a community BBQ and tent sale Thursday, July 28 at its Williamsville offices. Open to the public, the event will include a basket raffle and silent auction featuring items donated by manufacturer partners and Ingram Micro associates.
