Ingram Micro VTN Community Reports Record Year-Over-Year Growth; Expands Internationally

Leading North America Channel Partner Community Drives Greater Revenues and Outperforms IT Industry Average Growth

PALM SPRINGS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/22/13 -- Demonstrating the power of partnership, Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest wholesale technology distributor, is pleased to report its VentureTech Network (VTN) community is achieving higher revenues, partnering more frequently and outpacing market growth in several key areas including IT infrastructure, networking, security, services and storage.

In addition to celebrating its 15 year anniversary as the IT channel's leading North America partner community, Ingram Micro also announced its VTN community is expanding into the U.K.

"2013 is a big year for the VTN community and our vendor sponsors, and we're thrilled to see VTN formally break ground internationally," says John Fago, senior director, channel marketing, Ingram Micro North America. "By keeping VTN's focus on partnership and prosperity, the community has already exceeded its annual growth goals for 2013 and members are reporting higher sales across several technology categories and market specializations."

The year-over-year growth of the VTN community in 2013 is tracking at four times the IT industry average growth estimated by Gartner Research and generating greater revenues to date than the year prior. The community's overall performance, peer-to-peer partnerships and continued leadership have become measures of excellence for the IT channel at large, and serve as an undeniable testimony to the business value Ingram Micro's communities bring to channel partners as well as technology vendors.

"In this industry, success is measured by the results you achieve, the customer value you bring to the table and the relationships you build," says Paul Bay, president, Ingram Micro North America. "VTN was the first, and remains the foremost, channel partner community in the IT industry because of its relentless focus on success through partnership and its commitment to ensuring the health of the IT channel by sharing best practices and serving as a voice of authority among the IT vendor community."

This year's Ingram Micro Fall VTN Invitational welcomed hundreds of community members, with main stage addresses from IT luminaries including Cisco's Andrew Sage, Dell's Frank Vitagliano, HP's Stephen DiFranco and Lenovo's Kevin Nelson. A number of key North America executives from Ingram Micro, including Paul Bay, Kirk Robinson and Mark Snider, are also in attendance to engage face-to-face with members and celebrate the community's success.
