Ingram Micro Expands Unified Communications and Collaboration Business in South Carolina
New Facility Brings Ingram Micro, NetXUSA, The Phoenix Group and Large Format Printing Teams Together Under One Roof, Expands Capabilities for Collaboration
GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Demonstrating its growing investment in being an indispensable business partner to the high technology industry, Ingram Micro Inc. announced today it has expanded its business in South Carolina with a new facility that brings together Ingram Micro Inc. associates from two strategic acquisitions—NetXUSA and the Phoenix Group—as well as additional teams including Ingram Micro’s Large Format Printing and DCPOS business.
“Ingram Micro’s industry-leading Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) business is growing double-digits year-over-year. By bringing these teams under one roof we will accelerate our growth and bring greater business value to the partners and providers we serve,” says Steve Yochum, GM and Director for Ingram Micro’s UCC business, and the executive champion at the new South Carolina facility.
Based in Greer, South Carolina, the 130,000 sq. foot facility offers associates a modern workplace to collaborate and thrive across the organization with greater ease and effectiveness. With a move in date of March 2019, Ingram Micro’s new facility offers channel partners room to meet face-to-face and virtually with Ingram Micro associates and providers, as well as features an impressive demonstration of established and emerging UCC solutions and services that businesses are using to keep their associates connected more closely to the customers they serve.
To commemorate the move, a grand opening ceremony welcoming hundreds of Ingram Micro associates, partners and providers to the new facility is taking place this week in South Carolina. Excerpts from the event can be found under the hashtag #NewIngramDigs and #IngramGreenville.
“Having our team in one building will generate even more innovation and demonstrate the power and growing presence of Ingram Micro here in South Carolina,” continues Yochum.
Ingram Micro’s UCC business has maintained a leadership position within the IT industry for more than a decade. With a wide and deep portfolio of the industry’s most innovative and recognizable brands, Ingram Micro’s UCC business offers channel partners multi-vendor solutions coupled with pre- and post-professional services including assessments, rollouts and managed service offerings.
“With the increasing adoption of cloud services and mobility, UCC continues to be a profitable business opportunity for our partners and providers,” says Kirk Robinson, senior vice president and U.S. Chief Country Executive, Ingram Micro Inc. “We’ve made a handful of strong acquisitions to elevate our expertise in the UCC and capitalize on the market’s increasing need for collaborative communications that are reliable, secure and available as-a-service. When it comes to UCC solutions and services, Ingram Micro is the industry leading business partner for today’s channel partner.”
