Ingram Micro VentureTech Network Announces 2008 Spotlight Award Winners, Welcomes Two Industry Leaders Into Hall of Fame

The IT Channel's Premier North America Partner Community Recognizes Members for Outstanding Partnership and Performance; Names Nexus Information Systems' John DeRocker and Juniper Networks' Frank Vitagliano to VentureTech Network Hall of Fame

The VentureTech Network (VTN) represents a community of more than 440 of today's best and brightest solution provider organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Ingram Micro VTN Spotlight Awards recognizes community members for outstanding performance and partnership, as well as overall enthusiasm and leadership within the community. The VTN Hall of Fame celebrates those channel partners who are leaders within the IT channel and have gone above and beyond to support VTN by sharing best practices and fostering meaningful partnerships within the network and on behalf of VTN.

This year's VTN Spotlight Award winners include fast-growth solution providers Next Dimension Inc. and HSMC Technology Services for top sales growth within their respective regions. The annual VTN Spirit Awards were presented to Terry Buchanan of CONPUTE in Markham, Ontario and Randy Sklar of Sklar Technology Partners in Mechanicsville, Virginia for their contagious enthusiasm for VTN. The VTN Partnership of the Year Awards went to Long View Systems Corporation for Canada and SOMA Inc. for the U.S.

The 2008 VTN Spotlight Awards also marked the first time a vendor channel chief was inducted into the Hall of Fame. According to longtime VTN member and fellow 2008 Hall of Fame inductee John DeRocker of Nexus Information Systems' Frank Vitagliano has always been an avid support of VTN and is "truly in a league of his own when it comes to understanding how to partner with the channel and do right by solution providers."
