Ingram Micro to Offer NCR POS Technology in North America

New distribution agreement extends NCR's market reach and strengthens Ingram Micro's growing line-up of hospitality and retail offerings

CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro Inc.'s (NYSE: IM) Data Capture/POS Division today announced a new distribution relationship with NCR Corporation in North America. The strategic alliance marks a key milestone within NCR's channel growth strategy and notably expands Ingram Micro's hospitality and retail point-of-sale (POS) solutions. Last year, the two companies signed a similar agreement covering Australia and New Zealand.

As part of the North America distribution agreement, Ingram Micro's Data Capture/POS Division will sell, support and integrate NCR's comprehensive product portfolio for retail and hospitality resellers, including NCR RealPOS(TM) POS terminals, NCR EasyPoint(TM) self-service kiosk solutions, NCR RealScan(TM) bar-code scanners, POS peripherals -- including NCR's innovative two-sided receipt printing technology -- and NCR POS software solutions.

In addition, Ingram Micro will work with NCR to support the NCR RealPartner program, which provides incentives as well as educational and marketing support to help all NCR resellers -- including dealers and independent software developers (ISVs) -- be more successful as they sell technology solutions into the hospitality and retail marketplace.
