Ingram Micro Helps Channel Partners Tackle IT Asset Disposition; Launches New ITAD Processing Partner Program
Now Channel Partners can bring ITAD in-house; MCPc Named First Ingram Micro ITAD Processing Partner
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ingram Micro Inc. is bringing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) processing capabilities to our channel partners by providing them a proven framework and methodology for safe and secure ITAD services via channel partners’ own facilities. Developed by Ingram Micro’s Commerce & Lifecycle Services’ ITAD group, the new ITAD Processing Partner Program trains and prepares qualified channel partners to perform ITAD functions in-house, using Ingram Micro’s global and proprietary BlueIQ asset intelligence software and the RENUGO global resale platform for real-time IT asset inventory management, process control, tracking, remarketing, and reporting throughout the IT asset disposition process.
Approved VARs can now own the full disposition process, controlling chain-of-custody and selling through Ingram Micro’s pre-qualified global channels, to improve margins. Processing Partners can also call on Ingram Micro ITAD to work with them on large opportunities or to provide service in countries they don’t cover.
Ingram Micro is also pleased to recognize data protection provider MCPc as its first ITAD Processing Partner. An industry leader in data security and chain-of-custody, MCPc completed Ingram Micro’s ITAD training process, which includes adhering to the same rigorous data-security and environmentally compliant processing standards Ingram Micro follows around the globe. The MCPc / Ingram Micro partnership for ITAD services went live in March, and has seen tremendous traction since day one.
“MCPc’s strong focus on chain-of-custody and data protection makes them a great first partner for our ITAD Processing Partner Program,” said Todd Zegers, vice president, ITAD, Commerce & Lifecycle Services, Ingram Micro. “MCPc will use Ingram Micro’s BlueIQ and proprietary methodologies to enhance its ability to provide its clients with detailed ITAD scheduling, data sanitization, processing, remarketing and recycling. The ability to utilize both BlueIQ and RENUGO means that MCPc has an enhanced ability to provide best-in-class remarketing value return to their clients, ensuring the lowest cost/highest return on assets of value. Following MCPc’s lead, we look forward to channel partners leveraging this program to expand the availability of safe and secure asset management to more businesses across the globe.”
Greater Access to Top-Notch ITAD Services is Good for Business and the Environment
“MCPc already enjoyed a strong relationship with Ingram Micro, so choosing to partner with the ITAD group was a natural extension and enabled us to expand our chain-of-custody solution set,” said Jason Taylor, group president, asset disposition, MCPc. “MCPc’s secure technology asset disposition program leverages Ingram Micro’s BlueIQ and proven processes to provide consistent end-of-service processing through flexible unit-level tracking, inventory control, process efficiencies, visibility, value recovery, and reporting.”
“We’re pleased that MCPc has chosen to expand their existing reseller relationship with Ingram Micro to include comprehensive IT asset disposition services,” adds Kirk Robinson, senior vice president and chief country executive, Ingram Micro U.S. “Under this new program, MCPc and other channel partners across the U.S. have access to a service providing a better way to dispose of and refresh their client’s outdated technology in a secure, and environmentally-friendly way. Ingram Micro is leading the way in innovation and service to provide channel partners with the ability to manage the entire product lifecycle for their customers.”
